Siemens rebrands Preactor APS to Opcenter APS and launches the Siemens Opcenter Portfolio

Siemens Digital Industries Software has announced the immediate availability of Siemens Opcenter™ software, a cohesive portfolio of software solutions for manufacturing operations management (MOM). Siemens Opcenter expands on the heritage of Siemens’ recognized MOM software by uniting these products in a single, connected cloud-ready portfolio with a harmonized user experience that can help manufacturers meet demands for production efficiency, quality, visibility and reduced time to production.

The new portfolio is a combination of products which are now within the Siemens ecosystem. Preactor Advanced Planning and Scheduling has now been rebranded to Opcenter Advanced Planning and Scheduling and will sit within the larger portfolio of the manufacturing operations management (MOM). Opcenter APS has undergone a digital facelift to bring the user interface more in line with the rest of the software applications with the portfolio. Opcenter APS is not yet fully cloud-based, unlike other applications. However, this is the roadmap for development at Siemens for over the coming years.
